Scientific Associate in Plant Sciences Your fields of activity with us * Contribute to the implementation of a soil monitoring program with the aim of harmonizing surveillance activities at the European scale * Set up equipment at the Swiss monitoring site and collect data on erosion due to wind, water, and tillage * Obtain information from local stakeholders through surveys and workshops in order to support the measures * Analyze Swiss data and model soil erosion at the watershed scale * Collect data from all European monitoring sites, control its quality, produce statistical analyses and publications * Use standardized methods to ensure up-to-date and accurate data, meeting the needs of modelers, and validate the selected indicators Your background, ideally * Degree from a higher education institution (master's or doctorate) in agronomy or a related discipline * Very good knowledge of agronomic sciences and pedology * Experience in monitoring and modeling soil erosion, data analysis and programming languages (R or Python e.g.) * Strong motivation, ability to work independently, resilience and great ease in human relations and communication * French or German native language with good knowledge of the other language and excellent command of English Some of our assets We conduct research activities related to practice, develop solutions useful to the economy, culture and society in general, on a regional, Swiss and international level.
