Qualified Educator

Deployed across several sites, the Institution de Lavigny consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, a housing department for adults with disabilities, involving intellectual deficiency or physical issues, a specialized school, and a workshops and professional training sector.

The specialized school department "La Passerelle" welcomes children aged 6 to 18 with learning and developmental difficulties. It ensures global support for the child, including school training, therapeutic interventions and follow-ups, and educational follow-up, with the possibility of weekly boarding and after-school care. For our weekly boarding which welcomes 14 young people of school age, and our after-school sector, we are looking for:

A qualified educator at 70%-80%, fixed-term contract from October 2026 to July 2027, potentially extendable

Whose main mission will consist of proposing educational support to children/adolescents, promoting the link between school life, leisure time, and family life. The activity is shared between support in weekly boarding and the animation of after-school activities (sports, homework, cultural activities, etc.).

In close collaboration with families and the professional network, you will contribute to the development and implementation of an individualized project adapted to each young person, within the framework of an intervention aiming for the learning of autonomy and self-determination, and which relies on the resources and skills of the young people and their families.

As an experienced person, capable of managing projects, you will know how to propose playful and fulfilling activities, whether group or individual. You will know how to put into perspective and reflection a systemic and multidisciplinary approach based on respect for the responsibility, autonomy, and vulnerability of each person. Dynamic, communicator, you possess a marked interest in working in an interdisciplinary team.

Working hours are annualized and are distributed from 7 am to 10 pm, from Monday noon to Friday noon. The services are closed during the Vaud school holidays.

We require:

• A recognized ES or HES social educator diploma,
• A valid driver's license,
• A pronounced interest in the field of special pedagogy and learning disabilities,
