Senior Physician or Senior Physician mbF Surgery (m/f/d)

The Spitalverbund Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the Akutspital Herisau and the Psychiatrischen Zentrum AR in Herisau ensures the expanded basic medical care for the population in the Canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the Canton and beyond.

In the Department of Surgery under the leadership of Herr. Dr. med. Martin Seifert, we are looking for a Senior Physician or a Senior Physician at a workload of 80-100%

Your tasks

• Independent care of inpatient and outpatient surgical patients
• Performance and assistance of surgical procedures according to your experience and qualification
• Participation in the senior physician duty system
• Interdisciplinary cooperation with all involved specialist departments
• Supervision and further training of assistant physicians
• Active participation in quality projects as well as in the further development of the clinic

Your profile

• Specialist title Surgery (FMH or equivalent recognition)
• Sound experience in general and visceral surgery
• High professional competence as well as a patient-oriented way of working
• Enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation and training of young colleagues
• Sense of responsibility, initiative and organizational skills
• Strong teamwork skills and high social competence
• Very good German skills in spoken and written form
