The Mikropole Mattenhof attracts with a diverse range of sports, shopping, and catering options. Around 30 employees from the disciplines of General Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Diabetology as well as Ophthalmology with Orthoptics, Orthopedics, and Allergology work together interprofessionally. In addition, we operate a public pharmacy integrated into the Medical Center. We maintain close cooperation with our partners Oviva as well as with Medbase Luzern Allmend. At Medbase Kriens Mattenhof, we pay attention to a balanced work-life balance. Tasks: • In close cooperation with our two ophthalmologists, you evaluate patient records and medical histories, collect patient anamneses, and independently perform orthoptic, strabological, and neuro-ophthalmological examinations on children (from 6 months) and adults. • Subjective and objective refraction determination with retinoscopy in cycloplegia is also an important component of the orthoptic examination. • Through the evaluation and interpretation of the examination results, you make diagnoses as well as differential diagnoses and plan the further procedure and the appropriate therapy. • Advisory activities, follow-up controls, and motivating conversation with patients as well as companions are part of your daily tasks. • If possible, you perform Low Vision assessments, determine the need for magnification, and advise patients in the area of Low Vision. • You write orthoptic and Low Vision reports to the referring doctors and partners, document the results, and create adequate treatment therapies and interventions. Profile: • You have completed training as a Dipl.
