Commercial vehicle mechanic (M/F)

On behalf of one of our clients in the construction sector, we are looking for a Commercial vehicle mechanic (M/F). Your future responsibilities: • You will take charge of regular maintenance as well as mechanical repairs of vans and commercial vehicles. • You will search for and identify malfunctions of mechanical, electrical or electronic origin. • You will perform preventive maintenance operations and various inspections in accordance with current regulations. • You will replace worn or defective components and carry out the necessary adjustments on brakes, engines, suspensions and transmissions. • You will ensure the monitoring and documentation of the various interventions carried out on the vehicles. • You will manage the stock of spare parts and anticipate the needs for material necessary for repairs. • You will prepare the vehicles for official inspections and participate in the various steps related to their homologation. • You will work in coordination with drivers and the logistics service in order to organize maintenance operations. • You will perform the necessary tests after repairs in order to guarantee the proper functioning and safety of the vehicles. • You will use appropriate diagnostic devices to check the various vehicle systems. • You will report any anomalies and propose appropriate repairs or interventions. • You will maintain your workstation as well as the workshop clean, tidy and in compliance with safety rules. Your profile: • You have training as an automotive mechanic or justify equivalent experience in the maintenance of commercial vehicles. • You possess very good knowledge in mechanics, automotive electricity and maintenance of light commercial vehicles. • You are a methodical, conscientious person attentive to the quality of the interventions carried out. • You know how to work independently while enjoying collaboration with your colleagues. • You demonstrate reactivity and know how to quickly find solutions to the various breakdowns encountered. • You are motivated, involved and wish to invest yourself sustainably within a dynamic team. • You have a good sense of organization and know how to manage priorities effectively. • You are comfortable with different automotive diagnostic tools and devices. • You attach particular importance to compliance with safety rules and work procedures. • You are flexible and capable of adapting to different types of vehicles and interventions. • Ideally, you possess a valid driving license in Switzerland. • You are reliable, punctual and demonstrate a good sense of responsibility.
