Head of Department Mandates of the Business Unit Asset Management (90 - 100%) The Pensionskasse Stadt Zürich (PKZH) is a leader in occupational pension provision. It manages assets of around 25 billion CHF and insures the employees of the City of Zurich administration and affiliated companies. The PKZH employs around 60 employees and is located at a central location near Stauffacher in Zurich. Due to personnel changes in the management of the Asset Management division, we are looking for a Head of Department Mandates of the Business Unit Asset Management (90 - 100%) The Department Mandates comprises seven employees. Together with the Operational Department, it forms the Asset Management business unit. With your employees, you award and monitor the almost exclusively external asset management mandates. Your tasks In your function, you take over the personnel, technical and administrative management of your department. With your team, you define, manage and monitor external asset management mandates and investments. You ensure an efficient flow of information between the asset managers and the Investment Controller. You yourself are responsible for one to two specialist areas (this includes individual asset categories or investment topics, preferably Private Debt). You are responsible for preparing application documents for the Investment Commission based on internal or external analyses. You actively participate in all Investment Commission meetings. As a member of the management team, you actively contribute to discussions on organizational and personnel issues. You follow developments in the investment sector with a view to possible improvements to the investment strategy and its implementation. Your profile You have a completed university degree in economics, finance or mathematics; further qualifications such as CFA, MBA or comparable certificates are an advantage. You have a deep understanding of the financial markets and their current developments. You also have in-depth knowledge in the investment sector and have many years of experience in the area of private market investments (Private Equity, Private Debt and/or Infrastructure). You also bring experience in integrating ESG aspects into all asset classes. You have management experience and convince with high social skills. You are used to working in a structured and analytical way, communicate clearly, differentiated and are able to convey complex investment topics in a simple and understandable way.
