Apprenticeship; Production Mechanic EFZ Production mechanics work in mechanical-technical companies. They process metal components and assemble them into various devices, apparatuses, machines, or structural constructions. To do this, they read manufacturing documents and technical drawings. They prepare the necessary work tools. They complete their orders and projects exactly and independently, sometimes also in a team and with other specialists. Production mechanics predominantly process metals such as steel, chrome steel, or aluminum. They master machining and joining techniques such as drilling, turning, milling, and grinding. Production mechanics assemble and install individual parts or entire assemblies. The assembled devices, apparatuses, and machines can be very different.
