As an automobile mechanic, you perform system and functional checks as well as simple diagnostics on passenger vehicles and personnel transport vehicles. You repair engines, transmissions, chassis, and electronics. You independently carry out service and inspection work. You test fuel injection systems using special devices, perform system adjustments as well as braking measurements, and check electronic chassis components, such as braking assistants. In the field of diagnostics and repair, you identify faults, research and eliminate causes, check driving assistance, infotainment, hybrid, and electric propulsion systems, and replace defective components. In addition to the development of professional skills, the basis of in-company training is the development of methodological, social, and personal skills. This means that you learn professional knowledge and skills from A to Z during your training and that you are able to master the requirements in the interpersonal and professional fields.
