As an Underwriting Portfolio Analyst - Motor & Haushalt, you are part of the P&C Underwriting business unit in the Portfolio Management team and actively shape the further development of Zurich Switzerland. In doing so, you contribute your skills to gain valuable insights from data together with us and support the further development of our underwriting strategies. You combine analytical thinking with your knowledge of the market and our products to make informed decisions together with the team and to manage our portfolio optimally. In close exchange with colleagues from various areas, you actively help shape strategic initiatives and thus contribute to the sustainable further development of our portfolio. What awaits you * You contribute your analytical skills and your knowledge of the market and non-life insurance products to develop solutions together with various teams and to manage the retail customer portfolio * You analyze our insurance portfolio in detail and, in exchange with others, identify optimization opportunities in a targeted manner * You develop and implement methods and tools together with your team that advance portfolio analysis and optimization * You support the definition and creation of metrics, KPIs and dashboards to strengthen the data-based management of the department within the team * You gain valuable insights from data and use these to further develop the underwriting strategy together and to achieve the set goals What distinguishes you * Completed university degree in economics or natural sciences, mathematics, statistics, data science or (business) informatics, or equivalent professional experience in the insurance industry * Several years of experience in the non-life insurance business, ideally in portfolio analysis or product management, as well as a deep understanding of the key value drivers and control metrics (KPIs); complementary experience in underwriting is welcome * Strong analytical and conceptual skills, high presentation skills as well as the ability to clearly structure complex analyses and prepare them appropriately for different stakeholders * Confident handling of relational databases, large amounts of data and at least one programming language (SQL or Python), experience in preparing data for informed business decisions; actuarial knowledge is an advantage * Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form Good to know Part-time or full-time: 70 - 100% Place of work: [Oerlikon, Zürich](< >) Start date: from or after agreement Travel activity: None Hybrid working: up to 40% Everything regarding your application You can apply directly to us online in a first step - for this you only need your CV.
