As a Senior Physician for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, you will shape the professional direction of geriatric and neuropsychiatry and build a geriatric psychiatric day clinic. In St. Gallen, we are looking for you

immediately or by arrangement with a workload to be agreed upon.

You manage the geriatric psychiatric offering across outpatient, day-clinic, and consultative settings and bear the senior medical responsibility for patients aged 60 and over.

What awaits you in this responsible task

• As senior medical management, you steer the professional direction and further development of geriatric and neuropsychiatry across outpatient, day-clinic, and consultative settings
• You lead the senior physicians, assistant physicians, as well as psychologists professionally and personally, and are responsible for their further training and supervision
• Together with the interprofessional team, you ensure the medical and therapeutic care of patients aged 60 and over
• You take over the conceptual, organizational, and professional establishment of the geriatric psychiatric day clinic and develop a cross-setting treatment pathway
• You actively network with nursing homes, Spitex, and other hospital partners and promote a treatment culture according to the principles of Recovery and Shared Decision Making

What you bring with you

• Specialist title in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy or equivalent foreign specialist title
• Ideally, a sub-specialty title in Geriatric and Neuropsychiatry or a corresponding further training already commenced
• Several years of professional and leadership experience in a psychiatric institution with outpatient treatment offerings
• Enjoyment in the further training of psychological employees and a strong willingness for interprofessional cooperation
• Very good German language skills in speaking and writing (at least C1)
