Employee* Visitor Services Permanent position Museum Rietberg For our Visitor Services team, we are looking for a committed and service-oriented person as of 1. September 2026 or by agreement. The employment is based on an hourly wage. Tasks You will carry out opening and closing rounds, operate the security and fire alarm systems, ensure compliance with safety standards, and take responsibility in the event of an evacuation. You will regularly perform standby duties and can be on site within 30 minutes in the event of an incident. You will receive our visitors, advise them on special exhibitions, museum collections, and shop offers, and sell admission tickets as well as shop items. You will operate the cash system, create daily receipts, and manage the telephone reception and museum mailbox, providing competent information on the museum's offers and services. You will be active in supervisory service and ensure the protection of objects, the enforcement of visitor regulations, and the provision of information on exhibitions and the museum in general. Profile Commercial training, training in retail or hotel management school Experience and enjoyment of direct customer contact, high customer orientation, and good manners Flexibility (deployments on weekends and evenings), good IT user skills (MS Office), pronounced technical understanding, numerical flair, and an efficient and independent working method with high endurance and initiative Pronounced social competence, high team ability, self-confident appearance, physical resilience due to standing activities, and discretion and responsible handling of confidential information Style-secure German, good oral skills in English and Swiss German (other languages an advantage) We offer You can expect an interesting, diverse, and representative activity.
