The University Clinic for Dermatology of the Inselspital Bern is among the leading dermatology clinics in Switzerland. The Dermatosurgery department is responsible for a wide range of outpatient and inpatient services - from oncological and Mohs surgery to reconstructive procedures and laser medicine. As a strategically important pillar of the clinic, Dermatosurgery works closely with the Skin Tumor Center, Dermatopathology, Plastic Surgery, and Oncology. For the leadership of this department, we are looking for an entrepreneurially minded, medically excellent personality. What awaits you Operational and strategic leadership of the Dermatosurgery department: personnel management, process design, quality assurance. Independent performance of the entire dermatosurgical service spectrum: excisions, Mohs surgery, reconstructive procedures, as well as laser surgical treatments. Overall responsibility for dermatosurgical care - including capacity planning and further development of the service offering. Maintenance and further development of cooperation with Plastic Surgery, Oncology, Dermatopathology, and other specialist disciplines. Responsibility for teaching and further training of resident doctors as well as students in Dermatosurgery. Initiation and leadership of clinical research projects involving the department. What you bring with you FMH specialist title in Dermatology and Venereology with proven, multi-year expertise in dermatosurgery. Sound experience in Mohs surgery and reconstructive techniques. Initial leadership experience or a strong interest in leading a department with conviction and personal responsibility. Entrepreneurial thinking: You strategically develop the surgical offering and think beyond the operating room. Enjoyment in the training and promotion of young colleagues as well as in interdisciplinary cooperation. Scientific interest and willingness to actively participate in research and teaching.
