To support our business operations, we are looking for a reliable, flexible, and committed person who can be deployed particularly in the area of Indian cuisine and, if required, also undertake driving, delivery, and other operational tasks. Since a significant part of our clientele has an Indian or South Asian background, knowledge of Indian cuisine as well as corresponding language skills are of great importance for the activity. Your tasks Preparation of authentic Indian dishes; independent preparation and processing of ingredients typical for Indian cuisine; confident handling of Indian spices and traditional preparation methods; general kitchen work as well as preparation and cleaning work; support with organizational and operational activities; pick-up and delivery of goods, food, orders, and documents; errand and transport trips; customer care and customer communication; support with other reasonable activities within the framework of business operations. When there is less work in the kitchen, the person concerned should be able to be deployed flexibly for driving, delivery, errand, and other operational tasks. Your profile We are looking for a person with the following profile: good practical experience in the preparation of authentic Indian cuisine; sound knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and preparation methods; ability to prepare Indian dishes reliably and independently; experience in the kitchen or gastronomy sector is an advantage; reliable, careful, and independent way of working; flexibility regarding different areas of responsibility; readiness for irregular working hours and – as far as required and legally permitted – for shifts in the evening as well as occasionally on weekends; good communication skills and professional handling of customers; readiness to undertake delivery, pick-up, and errand trips; a valid Swiss driver's license for the corresponding vehicle category is required for driving services. Language skills Since a significant part of our clientele comes from the Indian or South Asian region and the activity may include regular direct customer contact, good knowledge of at least one Indian language frequently used by our clientele, for example Hindi, is of great advantage. Further Indian language skills are welcome. German or English skills for operational communication are also an advantage. Working conditions Employment is on an hourly wage basis with an average workload of basically a maximum of 17 hours per week. The basic wage is CHF 20.40 gross per hour. In addition, the corresponding wage components are shown separately: Holiday portion (10.65 %, 5 weeks): CHF 2.17 Public holiday portion (2.27 %): CHF 0.46 13th month salary portion (8.33 %): CHF 1.92 Total gross compensation: CHF 24.96 per hour. The actual working hours depend on the operational workload and will be agreed upon according to operational needs.
