SALES CLERK - Metal Construction Sector - 100% (all genders)

We are a leading and successful trading company in the stainless steel industry, located near Zürich-Paradeplatz, employ around 150 employees, and represent well-known stainless steel works in Switzerland.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a team-oriented, motivated personality with a passion for sales - ideally in the environment of the stainless steel or metal industry - to start immediately or by arrangement. You will competently advise our customers in the field of industrial metals with a focus on stainless steel. If reliability, efficiency, and resilience are among your strengths, then you are exactly right for us!

Which tasks await you?

• Active support and advice for customers in the stainless steel sector
• Building and maintaining long-term customer relationships
• Competent, solution-oriented processing of customer orders
• Creating, following up, and chasing offers
• Continuous monitoring of various delivery dates
• Expeditious handling of complaints & returns
• Active cooperation with the field service
• Recognizing further market potential and acquisition of new customers
• Regular exchange of market and product information with the responsible product manager
• Independent purchasing of back-to-back transactions

What do you bring to this position?

• Basic technical training or basic commercial training with technical understanding of industrial metals with a focus on stainless steel
• Several years of professional experience in trade & in the metal industry
• High affinity in handling IT systems ( MS Dynamics 365, CRM or similar), good MS Office knowledge; Excel mandatory
• Very good German skills; French or Italian an advantage
• Independent, exact, and expeditious way of working, combined with teamwork and enjoyment in dealing with people
