Deployed across several sites, the Institution de Lavigny consists of a neurological hospital with outpatient consultations on two sites, a residential department for adults in situations of disability, with an intellectual impairment or a physical issue, a specialized school and a sector for workshops and vocational training.

The Plein Soleil site in Lausanne is a unique place of life and care in the Canton of Vaud. It offers short or long-term accommodation, socio-cultural activities, workshops and day care for people suffering from neurological diseases or brain injuries.

Head of the Socio-cultural Sector

At the heart of life at Plein Soleil, the socio-cultural sector plays an essential role: allowing each person to remain an actor in their own life, to make choices, to maintain their links, to develop their capacities and to find their place in the community.

As a member of the management team and reporting directly to the Director, you will ensure the strategic, organizational and managerial steering of the socio-cultural sector (15.4 FTE).

You are the guarantor of the socio-cultural support model of Plein Soleil, its coherence and its evolution. In this capacity, your responsibilities will notably include:

• Setting the direction, by evolving the support offer around self-determination, quality of life, social participation and openness to the outside world;
• Growing the teams, by developing management based on trust, clarity of framework, feedback and empowerment;
• Developing interdisciplinarity, by collaborating closely with nursing managers, doctors, therapists and other professionals, around the resident's life project;
• Opening Plein Soleil by developing links with relatives and external partners;
• Accompanying change, by steering projects, evolving practices and contributing to the continuous improvement of the organization;

We are looking for a person who combines expertise in support, managerial experience and the ability to take a high-level view, while being capable of transforming a vision into concrete actions.

You possess:

• higher education in the social, socio-educational, health, management or equivalent field;
• confirmed experience in team management;
• experience in the medico-social and/or support of people in situations of disability;
• experience in project management or change management.

Knowledge of neuro-disability constitutes an important asset.

You are comfortable in interdisciplinary environments, know how to facilitate dialogue between different professional cultures and combine listening, decision-making capacity and a management posture.
