The FMH is the professional association of physicians in Switzerland. It is simultaneously the umbrella organization of the cantonal medical societies and medical specialist societies. With over 47‘000 members, it encompasses practically the entire medical profession in Switzerland. The FMH actively advocates for future-oriented and sustainable healthcare. The training of Medical Practice Assistants (MPA EFZ) plays an essential role here. The MPA Competence Center, as part of the Professional Development & Public Health department (a total of 7 employees), supervises, among other things, the inter-company courses (üK) for trainees and coordinates and supports the committees that ensure the initial and continuing education of the MPA EFZ in Switzerland.
