Veterinary Practice Assistant TPA Emergency Clinic Basel Land 80-100%

Between exciting emergencies and state-of-the-art diagnostics: In Northwestern Switzerland, veterinary skills are needed around the clock. In the Basel region, Canton Basel-Landschaft, we are looking for a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ (female or male) with a workload of 80 – 100%, starting immediately or by arrangement. In a state-of-the-art 24/7 emergency and referral clinic with the latest diagnostics, a varied working day with demanding cases and specialists from various disciplines awaits you.

What to expect in this responsible task

• You receive and advise pet owners by telephone and on-site, plan appointments, and maintain customer files
• You assist during consultations and support during operations, including anesthesia monitoring and postoperative care
• You independently collect and process laboratory samples and assist with X-ray and ultrasound examinations
• You clean and sterilize surgical instruments and ensure cleaning, inventory management, and food orders
• You support during emergencies and participate in weekend and night shifts according to the duty roster
• You take over the billing of services and medications

What you bring with you

• Completed training as a Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ or Veterinary Practice Assistant EFZ
• Professional experience in a small animal practice or clinic
• Very good German skills (at least level C1)
• Joy in interacting with animals and people
