Hotel * al ponte is one of the leading conference hotels in the region. We have 54 hotel rooms with 130 beds. Our catering sector includes a dining room (40 places), a refined à la carte restaurant (100 places) and the Gourmetstübli (30 places), as well as a seminar and banquet capacity of up to 220 people. Our establishment offers a wide and rich range of à la carte dishes, specialty menus, pizzas and pasta as well as business lunches.

We offer a varied training location in a modern hotel establishment. We have a very busy à la carte restaurant. All kinds of events take place with us, including business meetings, seminars, family celebrations, weddings and also catering services.

3-year training with Federal Certificate of Capacity
As a restaurant server, you ensure that the customer feels well taken care of. You know everything there is to know about dishes and drinks, master the secrets of wines and know how to prepare different cocktails. Being a host or hostess brings you joy and pleasure. With empathy, good manners and a neat and clean presentation, you meet the customers' wishes in a considerate and reliable manner. In addition, you are resilient, flexible and able to work in a team. You are prepared to work evenings and weekends as well.

During three years, you will learn all the tasks and processes in your field, which will allow you to acquire your dream job autonomously and with the necessary knowledge. A modern workplace, a dynamic team and a lived gastronomic culture will contribute, among other things, to providing the appropriate framework for your enjoyment of the service profession. 1 day per week, you attend vocational school in Burgdorf!
