CONSTRUCTION POLICE TECHNICIAN AT 80 %

The Municipality of Montreux is advertising a position as: CONSTRUCTION POLICE TECHNICIAN AT 80 % within the urban planning department.

Within the Construction Police section, you will join a motivated team invested in the transformation of the service. You will ensure the rigorous processing of building permit files, while guiding and advising applicants. You will actively contribute to the evolution of internal processes, the deployment of new practices, and the updating of the communal regulatory framework, particularly within the framework of the development of the PACom.

Main tasks:

• Ensure the processing of construction police files in compliance with laws and regulations
• Produce analysis reports of the files
• Coordinate the processing of construction police cases with the various services of the communal administration
• Write periodic reports on the progress of construction police files for your hierarchy and the Municipality
• Apply fire protection regulations – AEAI within the framework of the processed files

Desired profile:

• Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a draughtsman orientation architecture, geomatician, HES architect or training deemed equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience
• Training in fire protection regulations – AEAI, an asset
• Professional experience in the field of construction police and in a communal administration desired
• Good knowledge of the standards applicable to construction police, land-use planning instruments and policies, and required legal procedures and aspects
• Knowledge of the communal territory, an asset
• Organizational capacity and rigor
• Communication skills and spirit of initiative
• Great discretion and sense of responsibility
• Interpersonal skills and ease of adaptation
• Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD), an asset
• Proficiency in MS Office tools
