We are supporting our client, an established and regionally anchored company in the healthcare sector, in the search for an experienced personality for the finance department. In this temporary position, you will take on a central role in the annual financial statement process and ensure that the required closing work and documentation are implemented in a timely and qualitatively flawless manner.

Your tasks:

• Operational responsibility for the annual financial statement process in close cooperation with the Head and the Deputy Head of Financial Accounting
• Processing and clearing of the open pending items from the Management Letter regarding the interim financial statements
• Definition and implementation of the closing process based on the existing task list
• Complete and traceable reconciliation of all inventory and balance sheet accounts
• Restart of the internal control system (IKS) with a focus on the 20 most important controls
• Ensuring complete, structured, and traceable documentation of all relevant closing work

Your profile:

• Further training as an Expert in Accounting and Controlling, Federal Diploma in Finance and Accounting, or comparable degree (e.g., Bachelor FH) with many years of relevant professional experience
• Sound practical experience in financial accounting, in annual financial statements, and in account reconciliation
• Extremely independent, structured, and solution-oriented way of working with a strong hands-on mentality
• Ability to implement operational tasks efficiently and pragmatically as well as to set priorities reliably
• High reliability and quality awareness as well as a careful and timely way of working
• Knowledge of the software OPALE is an advantage
