Our team within the Central IT of the university is responsible for the design, construction, and operation of Cloud Services, Managed Linux Services, and Container Services. For the implementation of our cloud strategy, we are looking for a motivated, committed, and proactive personality.

Cloud Engineer (w/m/x)

Tasks

• You participate in the further development of our Azure Landing Zone and the operation of our cloud services including customer support
• Active design and collaboration in the construction of a multi-cloud environment
• You feel at home in the Public Cloud (Azure, GCP, or AWS) and have already migrated and implemented projects there
• With your passion, you inspire our institutes and support them in various ways and advise them competently on technical questions, as well as with technical problems, and implement projects from PoC to migration
• With your help, build processes, deployments, testing, and monitoring are realized using cloud technologies
• You use AI consciously and specifically to support yourself in development tasks
• You enjoy taking responsibility for the availability, stability, security, and performance of the infrastructure
• Your tasks also include the implementation and maintenance of interfaces for connecting different systems and architectures
• You continuously strive to improve and refine automation processes to achieve even more efficiency and effectiveness

Profile

• Higher technical education in computer science or comparable training/further education
• At least 3 years of experience in a DevOps/system engineer role
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.)
• Experience with an IaC tool such as OpenTofu / Terraform or Pulumi
• Knowledge in software engineering
• Sound knowledge of at least one public cloud (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Openness to agile working methods
• Kubernetes knowledge desirable
• Team player, cooperative, and committed personality
• High personal responsibility and independence
• Good German and English skills in spoken and written form
