The fondation dreischiibe is an innovative non-profit social enterprise. In our multipurpose service and commerce center in Herisau, Saint-Gall and Flawil, we create professional and personal perspectives for people suffering from mental disorders, with 220 places for work, training and integration. In the day center and the meeting center, we promote social integration with 63 places for visitors.

Our café-restaurant as well as the staff restaurant in Herisau are daytime establishments open from Monday to Friday. We practice fresh market, regional and seasonal cuisine with a high degree of fresh preparation.

To support our specialized gastronomy team in Herisau, we are looking for, immediately or by arrangement, a/an

Cook as group leader 60% temporary until April 2027

Working time 60% distributed over 3 days with a continuous daytime service

Your tasks

• Active participation in production as well as daily à la carte operations
• Supervision and direction of employees in supported workstations
• Planning and organization of kitchen processes by involving employees in collaboration with the other group leaders
• Active assistance during catering services or banquet events outside of opening hours, in the evening and on weekends
• Quality control of dishes as well as respect for and monitoring of HACCP

Your profile

• CFC cook training with at least 5 years of professional experience
• Experience in à la carte cuisine
• Additional training in pedagogy or several years of experience in the social field
• Management experience in small teams and great social competence
• Joy and enthusiasm for cooking
• Flexibility, availability outside of opening hours in the evening or on weekends
• Empathy and respect in contact with people suffering from mental disorders as well as the ability and pleasure to support them accordingly
• Good command of common MS Office programs
• Category B driver's license
