Psycho-oncology accompanies people with a cancer illness and their relatives on the path through diagnosis, treatment, and aftercare. We support the coping of fears, burdens, and crises, advise relatives as well as the treating teams, and contribute with a sound psycho-oncological assessment to ensuring that those affected receive the appropriate support in a timely manner. Whoever works in this area takes on a demanding and meaningful task at the interface of oncology, psychiatry, and psychotherapy. In this demanding phase of life, many people seek orientation, support, and trust. This is exactly where your work begins: • You accompany patients and their relatives on their often challenging path - empathetic, present, and competent • You independently conduct the psycho-oncological consultation in the outpatient sector • You care for inpatient patients in the oncology and palliative care ward as part of the consultation service • You are also regularly deployed at the Langnau location, thus ensuring psycho-oncological care in the entire catchment area • You work closely with a dedicated, interprofessional team • Your work is characterized by closeness, professionalism, and a deep understanding of what people need in crisis situations What you bring with you: • A specialist title as a federally recognized psychotherapist or advanced in training • Ideally further training in psycho-oncology and experience in an oncological environment • Empathy, resilience, and enjoyment of interprofessional cooperation • The ability to react flexibly to different situations - and at the same time be stable and reliable for patients and the team • Very good German language skills in speaking and writing Information Claudine Kroužel, Chief Psychologist, will be happy to provide you with information about the position at the telephone number 034 421 27 05.
