Senior Project Control Engineer – Power Electronics

In this role, you will take over the control engineering planning and implementation of projects in the field of power electronics and converter systems. You will work at the interface between development, commissioning, and customers.

Tasks

• Planning and implementation of control engineering project aspects including hardware and software concepts
• Coordination of technical interfaces between customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Definition and evaluation of hardware interfaces including design reviews
• Conception, development, and support in the implementation of control software and tests on real-time simulation platforms
• Carrying out commissioning, tests, and customer training on site
• Technical support during project execution and after delivery
• Cooperation with control, system, and mechanical engineering teams as well as project management

Profile

• Degree in electrical engineering (Bachelor or Master, university or technical college)
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Practical experience with MATLAB/Simulink required
• Knowledge in process and power electronics control and software design (e.g., OLC, CLC, Protection, HMI)
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC, IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3) is an advantage
• Willingness to travel for commissioning assignments worldwide (approx. 20 percent of working time)
• Fluent English and German
