The diabetes consultation service of Hirslanden Bern offers inpatient and outpatient consultations for patients at the three locations Klinik Beau-Site, Salem-Spital, and Klinik Permanence.

To strengthen and further expand our existing offering, we are looking for an additional specialist. This will strengthen cross-location care, increase the availability of diabetes consultation, and ensure continuous and high-quality care for our patients.

Together, we will further develop the diabetes consultation service of Hirslanden Bern.

YOUR TASKS

• You care for patients with diabetes in the inpatient and outpatient sectors and carry out diabetes therapies at different locations, including for malnutrition, in nephrology, as well as in visceral surgical procedures with a focus on the pancreas
• You carry out individual training, consultations, and support for T1DM, T2DM, GDM, and specific forms of diabetes
• You organize and coordinate the consultation hours for diabetology and endocrinology
• You ensure close interprofessional cooperation with the medical service, nursing, nutritional counseling, and external partners such as Spitex and nursing homes
• You are actively involved in the areas of health promotion and prevention
• You participate in the quality assurance and further development of diabetes care
• You instruct and accompany patients in the use of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and insulin pumps
• You organize and conduct training and further education for nursing specialists and resident doctors

YOUR PROFILE

• You have completed training as a nursing specialist HF/FH as well as further training as a diabetes specialist consultant HöFa1/DAS/HFP (for foreign diplomas including SRK recognition)
• Professional experience in the field is an advantage
• You bring the willingness to develop yourself personally and professionally and to actively help shape the development of a constantly changing field
• You work independently, responsibly, and reliably
• You have very good oral and written German skills (at least level C1), English and French skills are an advantage
