To support our growth in Switzerland, we are looking for a consultant based in French-speaking Switzerland, canton of Vaud:

Electrical Engineer (M/F)

Within our electrical engineering team, the electrical engineer will be responsible for carrying out electrical engineering activities related to various projects, in compliance with project requirements and railway electrical standards.

The activity includes the definition of robust and reliable electrical solutions, change management, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and the technical interface with suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Manage modifications to equipment such as electrical substation control cabinets and control, monitoring, and supervision panels for electrical substations, in accordance with reference electrical specifications and the change request process
• Define robust, safe, and reliable functional technical solutions
• Select electrical components in accordance with the recommended parts list and project requirements
• Ensure compliance with applicable railway standards, in particular the EN 50343 standard
• Ensure close liaison with other departments (production, method, system engineering, RAMS):
• Ensure the role of technical interface with electrical equipment suppliers
• Support project activities through technical expertise and engineering coordination

Profile:

• Graduate of an engineering school in the following fields:
• Electrical engineering
• Electrotechnics
• Electromechanical engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience in the electrical field within the railway sector
• Solid engineering training in the following areas:
• Electrical components
• Electrical product development
• Wiring
• Electrical architectures of trains
• Electrical systems and functions
• Experience with digital tools for electrical product development
• Good knowledge of tools:
• E3
• Ruplan
• ELSA
• Knowledge of the EN 50343 standard
• Rigor, autonomy, team spirit, and the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.
