The PHBern awards around 800 teaching diplomas per year and is thus one of the large Pedagogical Universities in Switzerland. Equally significant is its commitment to continuing education and services for teachers and school leaders, as well as its profession-related research, development, and evaluation.

The Institute for Continuing Education and Services supports teachers, school, and day school management in their work with a wide range of continuing education and advisory offers, educational media, as well as other services.

The Center for Continuing Education and Continuing Education Didactics (ZWW) profiles itself content-wise in the topics of continuing education for teachers and continuing education didactics. It offers continuing education and services for the maintenance of professional competence/ability to act of teachers and other actors in the school field. The focus is on subject-specific, cross-curricular, and supra-curricular topics of instruction.

Your tasks

• Development and implementation of continuing education and services in the subject of French
• Subject-didactic consulting for teachers and subject groups
• Collaboration in projects in the field of foreign languages
• Active co-design and further development of the foreign languages offer portfolio within a lecturer team

Your profile

• Teaching diploma for compulsory school
• Teaching experience at secondary level I in the subject of French, ideally in diverse and heterogeneous teaching contexts
• In-depth subject-didactic knowledge and/or corresponding additional training (e.g., FD Master)
• Pronounced interest in subject-didactic developments
• Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire it
• Proactive, cooperative and development-oriented personality
