With nearly 47'500 affiliates — including both companies and the self-employed — it is one of the essential players in social protection in French-speaking Switzerland.

On a daily basis, its teams manage the collection of 2,425 billion in AVS and unemployment insurance contributions, as well as the payment of more than 876 million francs in AVS, AI, and loss of earnings benefits. In parallel, they ensure the administration of family allowances and the application of collective labor agreements.

A demanding technical scope, serving thousands of companies and their insured persons — where every file has a direct impact on the professional and social lives of the individuals concerned.

Job Description

FER CIAM is looking for a collaborator fluent in German to join its family allowance department. Initial experience in file management, family allowances, or a similar sector will be considered a valued asset.

FER CIAM is the interprofessional AVS Fund of the Fédération des Entreprises Romandes, FER Genève. It is part of a set of services offered to member companies of FER Genève. Among other tasks, it participates in the administration of the family allowance funds of the Fédération des Entreprises Romandes Genève and the application of collective labor agreements.

Your role at the heart of our mission

You support our German-speaking and French-speaking beneficiaries with kindness and professionalism. You manage your files with full autonomy, relying on the current legal and regulatory frameworks, and actively contribute to a quality service, in a spirit of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Your responsibilities

File Management

• Processing, calculation, and decision-making on family allowance applications
• Management of benefits regarding family allowances in accordance with federal and cantonal legislation and current European regulations
• Establishment of restitution decisions for benefits unduly paid

Client & Partner Relations

• Attentive support for German-speaking beneficiaries, in coordination with public and private partner institutions
• Active collaboration with other FER CIAM departments
• Professional telephone reception in German and French, according to FER Genève quality standards

Administrative Work

• Writing routine correspondence in German and French, in compliance with legal obligations

Profile sought

What we are looking for above all

• Fluent German, both spoken and written: this is the key competence for this position
• Good command of French, spoken and written

An additional asset

• Initial experience in file management, family allowances, or a similar sector (social insurance, administration, customer service) constitutes an asset, but is not a condition for applying

Desired complementary skills

• CFC in commercial employment or recognized equivalent training
• Writing ease and attention to detail, in both languages
• Excellent sense of service and human contact, comfortable on the phone
• Rigor, autonomy, and the ability to quickly learn new legal and regulatory frameworks
• Valid work permit for Switzerland required
