Application Manager (m/f), 80–100 %

Informatik Schaffhausen (ITSH), together with around 80 employees, shapes the digital future of the Canton of Schaffhausen. As a central IT partner for the Canton, City and Municipalities, we develop and operate innovative digital services, provide comprehensive advice to our customers and ensure a secure, modern and reliable IT operation.

In this important function, you are responsible for the smooth operation of various specialist applications and are responsible for their maintenance and upkeep. Additionally, you support Access-based interface programs, ensure smooth data exchange between systems and ensure stable and efficient application operation through maintenance, error analysis and continuous optimization.
In the role of Application Manager, you work closely with customers as well as the various suppliers of Informatik Schaffhausen. You can also actively participate in the further development and standardization of the IT environment of Informatik Schaffhausen and its customers.

What awaits you

• Evaluation, introduction and creation of solution concepts
• Operation/maintenance of various specialist applications
• Coordination of suppliers and advice to customers
• Ensuring and monitoring the interfaces to other applications or systems
• Planning, performing and testing releases/updates for the applications
• Creating, updating, maintaining and managing documentation such as operating manuals, user manuals and instructions
• Participation in projects in your area of responsibility
• Active participation in interdisciplinary teams/task forces

Participation in technical on-call duty and standby service

What you bring with you

• Higher tertiary education in informatics (e.g. HF or FH or comparable) with corresponding further training and experience in the IT field
• Several years of experience in application management or application support
• Good knowledge in the Microsoft environment (Microsoft 365, SQL, databases)
• Experience with Microsoft Access, VBA, C# and the support of interface solutions is an advantage
• Analytical and structured way of working as well as high service orientation
• Solid understanding of modern ICT technologies, experience in the area of container solutions is an advantage
• Ability to work in a team and service orientation
• Experience in the field of administration is an advantage
• Very good German skills in spoken and written
