Vocational Training Officer (90% - 100%)

The vocational training holds high importance at SVA Zürich. Currently, we train around 45 apprentices and invest heavily in professional, contemporary, and personal training. In doing so, we rely on the interplay between our vocational training officers and the practical trainers in the various areas of SVA Zürich.

As a Vocational Training Officer, you take on the overarching responsibility for the training of our apprentices during their three-year apprenticeship. You plan and coordinate the training assignments, keep an eye on their development, and ensure high-quality training together with the practical trainers. The technical transfer of social insurance topics takes place mainly in the operational areas. You therefore accompany the apprentices with a certain distance. You are all the more in demand when challenges arise, important decisions are pending, or more intensive support becomes necessary. You conduct progress and semester meetings and are the contact person for apprentices, practical trainers, parents, vocational schools, and other internal and external bodies. In doing so, you naturally move between different professional and stakeholder groups and adapt your communication to the respective situation. Especially with demanding topics, you bring the necessary tact. You do not shy away from difficult conversations, but rather conduct them confidently, clearly, and in a solution-oriented manner.

As a practical trainer, you additionally supervise one apprentice in our Education & Training department and are responsible for their technical and personal training in everyday work.

Your area of responsibility is supplemented by the coordination and organization of the PWA internship (Post-maturität economic training) within SVA Zürich. You recruit our PWA interns and are the central contact person for the learning support in the various operational areas.

Together with the team leader, you continuously develop our vocational training. You contribute innovative ideas and your own suggestions, constructively question existing structures, and independently implement new projects. In doing so, you participate in projects and organize internal events related to vocational training, such as the induction week for our apprentices or the Zukunftstag.

You convince us with your skills.
You have a commercial vocational apprenticeship or a comparable qualification and already have experience in vocational training, ideally in a comparable role. It is an advantage if you have relevant education or further training (federal diploma as an instructor or a degree in psychology).

You are organizationally strong and maintain an overview even when various training courses, deadlines, and stakeholder groups require your attention simultaneously. You enjoy working independently and autonomously, take responsibility, and make decisions. At the same time, you value exchange within the team and close cooperation with the practical trainers and other specialists.
