With an employment degree of 80 %, you will work in three day clinics: the Psychiatrische Tagesklinik Romanshorn, the Alterstagesklinik Romanshorn and the Alterstagesklinik Weinfelden. As a social worker, you are a valuable addition to the treatment teams, consisting of doctors, psychologists, nursing specialists and specialist therapists. A varied, exciting and meaningful activity awaits you.

You will take on

• Assessment of the current social situation of the patients and definition of the social problem areas in cooperation with the multiprofessional team and those affected
• Counseling and support of the patients and their relatives in matters of work, finances and housing as well as social insurance law matters
• Maintaining contacts with authorities and aftercare institutions
• Participation in discharge management and the organization of further care and / or new forms of living
• Participation in multiprofessional reports, team meetings and supervisions
• Coordination of social work tasks involving the entire patient environment and the multiprofessional team

You bring with you

• Completed degree in Social Work FH
• For a degree completed abroad: recognition of the professional qualification in Switzerland or the willingness to acquire it
• Flexibility, independence, resilience and ability to work in a team
• Professional experience in a psychiatric or medical context is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the Swiss social system
• Basic understanding, empathy and communication competence in dealing with mentally ill people
