Head of Product Development & Technology (m/f)

Your missions

• After integration: management and strategic planning of the "Product Development and Technology" department
• Development and implementation of innovation strategies for the creation of new products and technologies
• Improvement/development of products/formulations
• Coordination and supervision of product development projects in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners (including suppliers)
• Market analysis and technological monitoring to identify future developments and technologies
• Ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements (BPR, REACH regulations, etc.)
• Management of patent filings and intellectual property
• Responsibility for quality and safety management
• Support for the sales team (including on-site at the customer) for technical questions and product issues
• Responsibility for the budget and resource management for the "Product Development and Technology" department projects
• Responsible for the execution of the regulatory strategy of our products.

Your profile

• Degree in chemistry, chemical engineering or a related field; a doctorate is an asset
• Several years of professional experience in a management position in the field of product development and technology
• In-depth knowledge and experience in the chemical industry, particularly in chemical technology for paper manufacturing
• Experience in project management and leading interdisciplinary teams
• Good knowledge of regulatory affairs (Regulatory Affairs) (BPR, REACH, etc.) and quality management
• Strong analytical skills, innovative spirit, and entrepreneurial sense
• Fluent command of German and English, both spoken and written
• Experience in managing and collaborating with a "dispersed sales force" of an industrial provider.
• Strong service orientation and experience with service chemicals
