Secretariat of the DFC Department | 60% | Chur ##

The Department of Finance and Municipalities (DFC) comprises six services with a varied range of activities and over 450 employees. The DFC assumes various cross-departmental tasks for other departments and services and performs several special duties. The department secretariat is the central coordinating body within the DFC, with the units of the general secretariat, finance secretariat and digital administration management unit. The team supports the department director in all technical, legal, conduct-relevant and political matters. It ensures successful collaboration with services and other interest groups as well as the professional provision of services.

Following the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for an Assistant to the Secretary-General to join our team as effective support within the general secretariat from 1 February 2027 or by agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Support to the Secretary-General in all administrative and organisational matters and cover for the Department Director-s assistant during holidays (100% presence)
  • Monitoring of pending cases, appointments and deadlines as well as coordination of meetings
  • Ensuring reception and telephone service
  • Preparation of documentation for bodies, commissions and organisations
  • Support in the preparation of proposals to the Government, departmental decisions, legislative and administrative procedures as well as projects

What we expect from you

  • Basic commercial training or equivalent education as well as several years of professional experience (especially in management support); training as an executive assistant with a federal professional certificate is an advantage
  • Experience in data entry in the administrative programme CMI with excellent IT skills (especially MS Office)
  • Initiative and organisational talent
  • Structured, independent and accurate working method
  • High social skills, flexibility, ability to cope with stressful situations and service-oriented approach
  • Fluency in spoken and written German; knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
