Tasks ##

• In addition to trams and buses, we have many other vehicles behind the scenes - in this exciting and extremely varied activity, you will deal with the entire spectrum
• Because you are responsible for demanding maintenance and repair work, troubleshooting, diagnostics as well as commissioning of our diverse service vehicle fleet and our special vehicles (e.g., track cleaning vehicles, tower wagons, vehicles from municipal third-party customers, etc.)
• Also included are the maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs of the passenger information systems on our VBZ trolley and diesel buses
• Occasionally you will transfer vehicles
• You will also participate in the new commissioning of our VBZ buses
• Furthermore, you can also obtain driver's license Cat. C and E with us
• Your place of work is the central workshop in Zürich Altstetten and the well-coordinated 6-member team is looking forward to your reinforcement!

Profile ##

• Completed 4-year vocational apprenticeship as a land machine mechanic or automotive mechatronics technician or 3-year vocational apprenticeship as an automotive specialist, preferably specializing in heavy motor vehicles
• Professional experience is desired, but not an absolute must
• Driver's license Cat. B & driver's license Cat. C and E, or the willingness to acquire these
• You enjoy learning and are very versatile and have the willingness and interest in the mandatory further training, such as for working on trolley and battery buses
• Good communication skills are required for this activity because in this lively business you always have to coordinate and keep each other updated within the team
• Clean and careful working characterizes your working style
• You can be relied upon and you like to work in a team and yet very independently

Wonderful, then we will gladly make you a fair salary offer, which will be between 80,000 and 95,000 francs per year, or between 6,100 and 7,300 francs per month (100% workload). Often, applications from talents who do not yet meet all the requirements or, on the other hand, bring above-average knowledge and experience are also interesting. In these cases, starting salaries slightly below or above this range are also possible.
