To best prepare for the upcoming season and meet the future needs of our clients in the canton of Valais, we are constantly looking for several road constructors (m/f/d).

Job Description ##

• Participate in the construction, renovation, and maintenance activities of road infrastructures, sidewalks, parking lots, pedestrian areas, etc.
• Secure the construction site (setting up cones or barriers, signaling devices as work progresses, traffic lights)
• Identify level and layout points, existing structures and networks, ensure marking on the ground and on existing structures (walls, low walls)
• Materialize and control the slope (rule, bubble level)
• Prepare the surface to be treated which must be clean, even, free of "potholes" and cracks, can perform pavement cuts (floor saw, jackhammer), guide and accompany a milling machine (or planer), clean the substrate (sweeping, scraping, dusting)
• Apply the tack coat binder (bitumen emulsion) using a spreader: truck (or "bouille") possessing a heated tank equipped with a rear ramp with jets
• Implement the hot asphalt supplied by dump trucks feeding the finisher's hopper. The finisher homogenizes, deposits with an auger, and pre-compacts the asphalt using a vibrating screed

We expect ##

• Know signaling instructions, environmental respect, and ensure site safety
• Know how to apply asphalt and level a platform manually
• Know how to read a plan, execute a layout, and perform surveys
• Know how to install curbs, gutters, paving stones, exposed aggregate concrete
• Knowledge of earthworks, concreting, and surfacing (performing sub-base, rolling, compressing, smoothing, joints)
• Ideally completed training in the field of road construction (Rake operator, Road constructor CFC, Civil engineering mason)
• If no training, 5 years minimum experience recommended
