Are you interested in purchasing, international transport logistics and the analysis of costs and processes? In this versatile role, you will participate in the procurement of transport and logistics services, support negotiations with business partners and contribute to the further development of efficient purchasing solutions.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Participation in the procurement of services in combined transport, especially in rail and shipping
• Support in the procurement of transport services from subcontractors as well as services in the tank container business
• Development and further development of purchasing concepts in cooperation with the responsible buyers
• Preparation and accompaniment of negotiations with existing and potential business partners including the creation of analyses, statistics and decision-making bases
• Examination and clarification of invoices, tariffs and billing-relevant deviations
• Analysis of purchasing and cost data as well as derivation and implementation of suitable optimization measures
• Maintenance of purchasing and master data as well as participation in the further development of the internal purchasing system

Your qualifications

• Completed Fachhochschule or höhere Fachschule, preferably in logistics, Supply Chain Management, purchasing or business administration with a specialization in logistics
• Professional experience ideally in purchasing, logistics or Supply Chain Management
• High IT and numerical affinity as well as proficient use of MS Office
• Good knowledge in data preparation, evaluation and presentation
• Analytical, structured and solution-oriented way of working with interest in efficient processes
• Very good German and English skills, other foreign languages an advantage
• Quick comprehension and strong process understanding
• Independent, reliable and self-responsible personality with team spirit
• Strong interest in purchasing as well as communication and negotiation skills in dealing with internal and external contact persons
• Willingness to travel on business within Europe and driving license category B
