Senior Controller (m/w/d) 80–100% – Bern

Do you want to not only manage existing processes but also actively help build and strategically shape a controlling setup? For our client – a significant and meaningful institution in the Swiss healthcare and regulatory environment based in the center of Bern – we are looking for a dedicated and analytically strong personality. In this newly created position, you will accompany the finance department during an exciting development phase and act as an essential link between finance and business.

Your tasks

• You act as a central Finance Business Partner for defined organizational areas and competently advise managers on all business and financial issues.
• You play a decisive role in designing the further development and expansion of controlling structures, processes, and management instruments and drive the financial transformation forward.
• You contribute significantly to financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting, and conduct sound analyses of deviations.
• You take over the independent management of projects to optimize financial processes, systems, interfaces, and data quality.
• You ensure financial governance, standards, and compliance, and support operational accounting if required.
• You prepare complex financial contexts in a manner appropriate to the audience and professionally represent the finance function in committees.

Qualifications

Your profile

• A higher degree in the field of finance / controlling (e.g., Expert in Accounting and Controlling, University/FH degree, ACCA, CPA, or a comparable qualification).
• Several years of sound professional experience in controlling, ideally in a role as a Finance Business Partner or Senior Controller.
• Proven, practical IFRS knowledge as well as very good SAP FI/CO user knowledge (experience with BI tools is a clear plus).
• Initial experience in accompanying change management, optimization, or controlling setup projects is of great advantage.
• You are a strong-communicating, proactive, and solution-oriented personality who likes to take responsibility and maintains an overview even in complex structures.
• Business-fluent German is mandatory; good knowledge of a second Swiss official language (French or Italian) rounds off your profile.
