Lead Software Quality & Release Management

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a driving force to take the lead in the field of software testing and realize the bridge between development, quality promise, and customers. Lead Software Quality & Release Management (m/w/d) In this key role, you will take primary responsibility for software testing, release planning, and the quality assurance of our applications. You will ensure that updates are rolled out error-free, solve complex cases in 2nd-level support, and independently develop smaller applications or tools for process optimization. Your future tasks Lead Software Testing: Responsibility for the entire test strategy, conception of test cases, as well as execution of manual and automated quality controls. Release & Software Planning: Release management in close coordination with the developer team as well as responsibility for the error-free deployment of updates and patches. 2nd-Level-Support & Bug Fixing: Systematic analysis, reproduction, and rectification of technical errors in direct exchange with software development. Independent Development: Implementation of smaller applications, internal tools, or API scripts for the automation of test and operational processes. Interface Function: Close cooperation with Dev, AI, and hardware teams for the continuous improvement of product quality. What you bring with you Education: Completed studies or training in the field of computer science / software development (FH, HF, or comparable). Sound Experience: Proven practice in software testing (ISTQB an advantage), in test automation, as well as in modern release handling. Technical Know-how: Good knowledge of REST APIs, modern software architectures, and error analysis (logging, debugging). Development Skills: Experience in a common programming language (e.g., JavaScript, C#) to independently build small tools. Way of Working: Analytical mindset, high quality standards, sense of responsibility, and strong communication skills at the interface to development. Languages & Readiness: Very good German skills in spoken and written form (English an advantage); readiness for occasional assignments on weekends or evenings during critical event releases.
