Would you like to contribute actively to the protection of our drinking water resources? Then you have come to the right place: In this exciting, responsible role, you will ensure that construction and planning projects have no negative impact on our groundwater. You will effectively implement the legal basis. In doing so, you will make an essential contribution to sustainable groundwater protection in the Canton of Bern.

Your tasks

• technical assessment of construction and planning projects with regard to rainwater infiltration, interventions in groundwater as well as projects in groundwater protection zones
• preparing statements and issuing water protection permits
• advising municipalities, authorities, water utilities and private individuals regarding structural groundwater protection
• collaborating on exciting special projects as well as providing technical support for complex construction projects relevant to groundwater protection

Your profile

• Education: University degree as an environmental engineer, geologist, civil engineer or comparable scientific education
• Experience: Several years of practical experience in rainwater disposal, in (hydro)geology or civil engineering
• Language proficiency: Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good French skills
• Enthusiasm for groundwater protection
• committed, team-oriented personality who maintains an overview even in hectic moments
• strong decision-making and organizational skills, quick comprehension
