REHAB Basel, Clinic for Neurorehabilitation and Paraplegiology, treats and rehabilitates patients with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, and related clinical pictures following accident or illness. Our ultimate goal is, together with the people entrusted to us, to achieve the greatest possible independence and an optimal quality of life. We treat successfully in the area of initial as well as follow-up rehabilitation.

The clinic has 110 beds and an outpatient operation. Around 660 employees implement the visions and values of REHAB Basel in their daily work. They work in a unique building in the attractive tripoint of Switzerland, Germany and France.

For the ward for patients with severe behavioral issues (SAP), we are looking for a committed and innovative Ward Manager 80%-100% starting from 01.01.2027 or by arrangement.

Your area of responsibility ###

On the SAP ward, we treat patients

• who need adapted care around the clock
• with complex, severe functional impairments
• with challenging behavior involving risk to self and others
• who are in the transition from early rehabilitation to further rehabilitation

Our nursing is characterized by

• variable treatment and rehabilitation coordinated to the changing conditions of our patients
• continuity, patience and the recognition of the smallest changes and successes
• close involvement of relatives through intensive guidance and support in coping with the changed life situation
• working in an interprofessional, specially trained team
• respect, curiosity and unconventional interventions
• flexibility in dealing with rapidly changing situations

As Ward Manager, you are responsible for

• organization of an efficient work schedule and monitoring of processes
• support and promotion of employees and ensuring the quality of patient care
• overview of the status of the patients' rehabilitation progress
• organization and monitoring of the implementation of structured case discussions
• collaboration in the nursing management team

Your Profile ###

• several years of demonstrable nursing practice as a registered nurse with challenging complex nursing situations
• leadership experience and leadership training, or the motivation to attend such training
• very high social competence, willingness to reflect, self-competence, resilience
• organizational skills, communication skills and flexibility
• interest and pleasure in optimally bundling the expertise of different professional groups
