The Département de médecine de premier recours (DMPR) has the societal mission of enabling access to quality care for all through local medicine, ensuring the management of mild medical and surgical emergencies, promoting prevention among citizens, providing medical knowledge for judicial investigations, and promoting the health of travelers.

Due to the versatility of its skills, the Centre universitaire romand de médecine légale (CURML) has the mission to respond to all requests for expertise or advisory assistance in the fields of medico-legal, medical law, and doping analysis. Located at the Lake Geneva arc, its field of competence extends at regional, national, and international levels.

The Unité de Médecine et Psychologie du Trafic (UMPT) of the CURML performs medical driving fitness assessments, psychological driving fitness assessments, and medico-psychological driving fitness assessments. The UMPT has two level 4 physicians, specialists in SSML traffic medicine, and two psychologists specializing in FSP traffic psychology. The consultation offices are located in the cantons of Genève, Vaud, Fribourg, Neuchâtel, and Jura.

Job Description ##

Within the Unité de médecine et psychologie du trafic (UMPT), you will participate, under supervision, in driving fitness assessments carried out at the various sites of the unit. To do this, you will collaborate closely with the UMPT psychologists in the context of evaluating the situations entrusted to you and contribute to high-quality interdisciplinary care.

As part of your activities, you will also perform biological sampling intended for toxicological analyses and write expertise reports which are validated and co-signed by the physician in charge of the unit.

In order to develop your skills in this specialized field, you will participate in scientific seminars as well as undergraduate training sessions in traffic medicine, provided in French and/or German.

Qualifications ##

You hold a medical degree or have training deemed equivalent by the Commission des professions médicales (MEBEKO).

Your excellent communication skills allow you to interact within a multidisciplinary team and with patients. You are autonomous, flexible, and demonstrate commitment.

Clinical experience within the Geneva hospital and/or outpatient network is desired.

For non-French speaking candidates, a C2 level of French in the written test is required.
