Operations Technician (all)

For an established company in the Solothurn region, we are looking for two reliable and service-oriented personalities as operations technicians. Do you appreciate practical, independent work, enjoy taking responsibility, and maintain an overview even when others do not know how to proceed? In this role, together with your team, you will ensure that several highly frequented facilities remain safe, clean, and functional around the clock. These are two positions that will become available due to two retirements. Planned start is as of January and May 2027.

Your tasks:
You monitor the operation of several facilities and are an important contact person for customers on site. In doing so, you will undertake the following tasks, among others:

• Inspection of technical facilities, including sprinkler systems
• Operation of the cleaning machine as well as cleaning of interior areas, outdoor areas, and sanitary facilities
• Refilling of consumables, for example ticket rolls
• Care of cash registers and vending machines, including cash removal and cash refilling
• Coordination of repairs and deployments of external specialist companies, for example in the event of technical malfunctions
• Processing of customer requests and support during operational disruptions
• Assumption of on-call services and extraordinary deployments as required

What you bring with you:

• Manual dexterity, ideally experience in technical maintenance, building operations, or as an operations technician; career changers with a practical flair are welcome
• Driver's license category B
• Very good German skills and good IT user skills
• A reliable, trustworthy, and responsible way of working
• Enjoyment of contact with different people and the necessary calm in demanding situations
• Willingness for shift work, night work, on-call service, as well as deployments on weekends and public holidays
• Willingness to wear work clothing
• Residence in the Solothurn region or easily accessible surroundings
• Foreign language skills in French, Italian, or English are a plus

What awaits you:
You will take on a varied and down-to-earth task with clear responsibility and a lot of independence. Especially during night and off-peak hours, you will work independently and contribute to ensuring that operations run reliably.

The employment is at a 100-percent workload with a weekly working time of 37.5 hours. Work is carried out according to a shift plan, which is usually known one to two months in advance. Deployments are mostly between 06.00 and 00.00 o'clock, occasionally up to 03.00 o'clock during larger regional events. Breaks are considered working time.

Additionally, you will take on about one on-call week per month. For this, you will receive a flat-rate compensation, additional remuneration for public holidays, as well as remuneration for actual deployments. Many matters can be solved "remote" or "from home" in the event of on-call duty.

Look forward to five weeks of vacation per year, increasing to six weeks of vacation from the 55th year of age, as well as an economically secure workplace with a long-term perspective. Please note that a vacation freeze applies during larger regional events and in December.
