Job Description The Shunting Service Employee (ZSTEBV) is responsible for the safe, punctual, economical, and customer-oriented provision of shunting services according to the order assignment and for the correct application of the operational processes (FDV - rulebook). In the Limmattal shunting yard, they move stationary as well as rolling freight cars within the track field. This often generates noise or various freight cars collide with each other. Therefore, they should not be a easily startled person. 2.) Tasks Preparation of the trains for formation into the exit tracks or for the shunting brake test including inspection of the brakes Couples and uncouples locomotives Preparation of the incoming trains according to the long-make list and instructions Disassembling long-made trains using a coupling pole according to the disassembly list Coupling and uncoupling of locomotives and wagons Reporting irregularities, deviations, etc. to the responsible office 3.)
