The Position
ISB is looking to appoint a passionate and dedicated senior librarian (100%) to join our secondary school academic team, starting in August 2027. The successful candidate will lead the secondary school library, creating an engaging, inclusive, and stimulating environment that supports the learning, research, and academic development of students in grades 9 to 12.
The ideal candidate will have experience in an international or secondary school environment, a strong understanding of library and information services, as well as a passion for developing students' information literacy, research, and critical thinking skills. They will work closely with teachers and academic teams to ensure that the library is an integral part of teaching and learning, while fostering a strong reading culture and encouraging students to engage independently with a diverse range of resources.
Experience with the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), particularly in supporting research, academic integrity, and inquiry-based learning, would be an advantage. The successful candidate will also demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills, as well as a commitment to supporting the academic and pastoral needs of students.
Our Offer
ISB offers an excellent employment package and relocation support in an international and welcoming environment, including free after-school childcare, German lessons, professional development opportunities, on-site fitness facilities, and first-class worldwide accident insurance, as well as an advantageous pension scheme for employees.
