Psychologist / Social Worker Child Protection Group

The Kinderschutzgruppe is an interdisciplinary assessment and counseling center in cases of suspected or actual child abuse. The team works in an open-ended and non-partisan manner in the field of specialized voluntary child protection.

What awaits you

• Counseling via telephone as well as outpatient for external professionals, internal clinical treatment teams, and private individuals in cases of suspected child abuse or child welfare endangerment
• Outpatient and inpatient assessments of suspected abuse situations through interviews and/or child interviews according to Art. 154 StPO on behalf of criminal or civil authorities
• Recommendation for further procedure, involvement of the existing helper network, as well as involvement of authorities and specialist agencies for further assessments

What you bring with you

• You have a university degree in psychology or social work (Dipl. Sozialarbeiter:in or M.Sc. Psycholog:in)
• You bring many years of sound experience in the field of civil law child protection
• You are accustomed to conducting difficult conversations in complex family systems, gaining an overview in a short time, naming topics clearly, and making decisions
• You work independently, are resilient, flexible, and capable of dialogue and teamwork
• Good French skills are desired
• You are willing to perform regular telephone duties from home for the children's clinics on weekends after an induction period (approx. one weekend/month from 8.00 to 24.00)
