Office for Youth and Career Counseling Vocational, Study and Career Counselor 80% The Office for Youth and Career Counseling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents and families are at the center of our work. We advocate for them every day with a lot of passion and commitment. The biz Horgen is one of seven vocational information centers in the Canton of Zurich and supports adolescents and adults in the Horgen district in their career choice and career through individual one-on-one counseling, diagnostic assessments, information events, seminars and the infothek. We are looking for a Vocational, Study and Career Counselor 80% as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement. Your tasks: You advise adolescents and their parents on initial career choice, work with secondary schools and conduct class and parent orientations as well as schoolhouse office hours. In addition to working with adolescents, you advise adults on career entry and career topics and carry out potential assessments for the integration apprenticeship. As part of the infothek service, you provide vocational information. Carrying out information events and seminars is also part of your tasks. Your profile: You bring a completed or advanced federally recognized training in vocational, study and career counseling and preferably a completed degree in psychology. You have broad counseling competence with sound knowledge regarding counseling methods, diagnostic instruments and the labor market. You enjoy learning new things and also dealing with new media. You are very service- and quality-oriented and are characterized by a reliable, independent and responsible way of working as well as good organizational and administrative skills. You communicate skillfully and conduct events with classes and parents with proficiency and confidence.
