The Business Unit Operations produces parts for all Hamilton companies, from injection-molded parts and pipette tips for liquid handling to metal and plastic parts. Our goal is to produce as many parts as possible in-house. This allows us to remain agile, independent, and efficient.

What you can achieve:

• Responsible for the strategic direction of the electronics commodity group in an industrial environment
• Developing and implementing the commodity group strategy in line with the procurement and operations strategy
• Participation in development projects and coordination of procurement activities within strategic procurement
• Responsible for professional, worldwide supplier management (evaluation, selection, assessment, and development)
• Conducting targeted procurement market research and monitoring, as well as identifying new trends
• Creating and negotiating contracts, conducting price and condition negotiations
• Ensuring material availability during development phases in close cooperation with the operational buyers
• Adherence to processes, governance, and compliance

What you bring with you:

• Completed basic commercial training or technical training with further commercial education
• Completed further training in the field of procurement or supply chain management
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing in an industrial environment
• Reliable personality with entrepreneurial thinking
• Independent, structured, and conscientious way of working
• Initiative, negotiation skills, and assertiveness
• Open, communicative, and integral team player
• Proficient in German and English, both spoken and written (Level C1)
