Project Engineer Structural Design Building Construction
About the position
As a project engineer for structural design, you will develop sustainable structural concepts both independently and in a team and accompany demanding building construction projects across various planning phases.
Your tasks
Calculating structures: You independently create structural calculations and proofs for complex building and industrial structures (e.g., logistics centers, data centers).
Developing concepts: You sketch and construct load-bearing, economical, and sustainable structural solutions (e.g., with a focus on recycled concrete and CO2 reduction).
Interdisciplinary cooperation: You coordinate closely with architects, building services and electrical planners in the shared BIM model.
Accompanying projects: You participate in internal project team meetings and represent your specialist area in technical coordination.
On-site inspections: You carry out regular site inspections and reinforcement inspections (approx. 1 time per week).
Must-Haves
Education: Completed studies in the field of civil engineering or a comparable technical course of study (ETH, FH, Uni).
Initial practice: Initial practical experience in structural design/building construction (e.g., through relevant internships, working student positions, or initial professional years).
Language skills: Fluent German skills in speaking and writing (at least level B2/C1) in order to write reports and usage agreements precisely.
Way of working: High level of personal responsibility, conscientiousness, and enjoyment of close cooperation in an interdisciplinary team.
Nice-to-haves
Initial professional experience as a project engineer or structural designer.
Knowledge of SIA standards (training/retraining from Eurocode is easily possible).
Good English skills in speaking and writing.
