DBA - Database Administrator

On behalf of one of our clients, a recognized player in its sector and based in the canton of Vaud, we are looking for a Database Administrator to strengthen its IT team as part of a replacement and business continuity. DBA - Database Administrator Our client is a company based in Lausanne Missions Reporting to the Applications Manager, you will play a key role in the management, optimization, and securing of the company's database platforms. You will be responsible for the availability, integrity, and performance of the data, while contributing to the evolution projects of the information system. Administer and maintain production databases. Ensure monitoring, preventive, and corrective maintenance of environments. Implement and supervise backup, restoration, and disaster recovery procedures. Analyze and optimize database performance. Guarantee data security and compliance with administration best practices. Participate in integration and production deployment projects for new applications. Collaborate closely with Infrastructure, Applications, and Security teams. Document procedures and contribute to the continuous improvement of technical standards. Ensure technological monitoring on topics related to databases and data management. Candidate Profile Education and experience Higher education in computer science (HES, EPF level or equivalent). Minimum 6 years of professional experience in database administration. Confirmed experience in critical environments requiring a high level of availability. Technical skills Excellent mastery of relational databases: Oracle Microsoft SQL Server PostgreSQL MariaDB Good knowledge of NoSQL technologies: MongoDB Redis Elasticsearch / Elastic Solid skills on the following environments: Microsoft Windows Server Linux Unix Familiarity with collaborative tools and agile methodologies: Azure DevOps Jira Confluence Personal skills Sense of organization and rigor. Ability to work autonomously. Analytical and problem-solving mindset. Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders. Technical curiosity and a marked interest in issues related to data and its security. Excellent communication skills. Languages Fluent French, spoken and written.
