Operations Mechanic and Vocational Trainer (all genders)

Elco AG is the leading manufacturer of envelopes and stationery in Switzerland. With around 200 employees, we have specialized in Brugg in top products of the main brand ELCO in the areas of stationery, envelopes, packaging, tableware, and hygiene.

Our 7 workshop employees ensure production security from Monday to Friday. We divide the presence time of maintenance among ourselves on a rotational basis as follows: early shift 05.30 - 14.00, normal working hours 07.00 - 16.00, middle shift 09.00 - 18.00, and late shift 12.00 - 20.30. Where possible, considerations will be made upon request. We ensure short downtime of machines and systems with on-call service. This is divided fairly and after consultation and lasts one week each on a rotational basis. However, due to preventive maintenance, only 15 on-call assignments occurred in 2025 for the entire team.

Your tasks

Maintenance and revision of production machines, buildings, and infrastructures

Manufacture of spare parts and assemblies

Troubleshooting and rectification on production machines

Optimization of wear parts and machines

Implementation of technical improvements to machines and systems

Monitoring and operating process control systems

Vocational trainer for our aspiring production mechanics and polymechanics EFZ

Your skills and talents

Completed training as a polymechanic / production mechanic or comparable training

Good knowledge of the manufacturing techniques drilling, turning, and milling (CNC)

Professional experience in maintenance and operational maintenance is an advantage

High level of independence and self-motivation, structured approach, good networked thinking

Good German language skills in speaking and writing (understanding of technical English is an advantage)

Willingness for limited shift work and on-call assignments

Good knowledge of common IT products

Completed vocational trainer course
